Tecnicar Motorsport Solutions has successfully completed the fourth round of the Spanish F4 championship at the Jerez-Ángel Nieto Circuit. In this event, the team had 4 single-seaters on the track.
The championship returned to action on the track after a three-month break. Our driver, Hiyu Yamakoshi, couldn’t participate due to prior commitments. He was replaced by Lorenzo Castillo and Dewey Richards, who participated as wild cards.
The weekend began with a collective test in which our drivers gained valuable experience and used it to prepare the setup for the races in the following days. From the first day, Eric Gené displayed confidence with the single-seater on this circuit, achieving the fifth-best time.
In the first qualifying session of the weekend, Griffin Peebles showed great competitiveness, securing the thirteenth position from which he would start the first race.
He took advantage of his good starting position and, after an incident-free race, crossed the finish line in tenth place, earning his first point of the season. It was also a positive day for Eric Gené, Lorenzo Castillo, and Dewey Richards, as they all managed to finish among the top 25 in a crowded field of 35 drivers.
An on-track incident forced Griffin Peebles to start from the last position in race 3. Despite this setback, all the drivers praised the good pace they had, managing to make a comeback in both race 2 and race 3. Moreover, all of them successfully crossed the finish line in each of the races, which was no easy feat given the large number of single-seaters on the track and the numerous battles our drivers were involved in.
This marked the end of a weekend in which Dewey Richards, Lorenzo Castillo, Griffin Peebles, and Eric Gené progressively gained confidence with the single-seaters and secured the first point for the team this season.
Now, with little rest, the team faces a new weekend of competition in Estoril, where we will continue to improve in pursuit of the best results.
