Valencia, Spain — Tecnicar by AMTOG kicked off the 2026 Spanish Formula 4 season at the Circuit Ricardo Tormo with a positive overall result in the opening round of the championship.
Aleix Piñera secured two podium finishes at home, in a weekend that also brought Zoe Florescu victory in the Female Trophy and several competitive moments for the rest of the team.
The Valencia round, the first of the year, also marked the race debut of the team’s 2026 line-up: Andrej Petrović, Nacho Tuñón, Aleix Piñera, Zoe Florescu and Rodrigo Martínez.
Race 1: First podium of the year for Aleix Piñera
The opening race of the weekend delivered the first major result of the season for Tecnicar by AMTOG.
Aleix Piñera crossed the line in third place, but a post-race penalty promoted him to second overall, also securing second place among the rookies.
Andrej Petrović completed a solid race, finishing seventh.
Meanwhile, Nacho Tuñón and Zoe Florescu were unable to score points after being affected by technical issues, while Rodrigo Martínez retired following an incident in the early stages of the race.
Race 2: Second podium of the weekend
The second race once again saw Piñera among the frontrunners.
Starting from pole position, he was unable to retain the lead off the line but maintained a strong pace to secure another second-place finish, returning to the podium and again claiming second among the rookies.
The race was disrupted by a red flag following a multi-car accident. Andrej Petrović was involved through no fault of his own and was unable to continue.
The team showed strong commitment, working until midnight to rebuild the car and return to the track the following day.
Nacho Tuñón finished eighth, scoring his first points of the season, while Zoe Florescu was fifteenth and Rodrigo Martínez completed his first Formula 4 race.
Race 3: Recovery drives and Female Trophy victory
Sunday began with a challenging qualifying session in wet conditions, but Race 3 delivered several standout performances.
Andrej Petrović, starting from twelfth, made an impressive climb to sixth place, but was ultimately pushed out of the points after contact with another driver.
Aleix Piñera produced another strong recovery drive, moving from twenty-second to thirteenth, while Nacho Tuñón also fought back through the field to finish inside the top ten on track.
One of the highlights of the weekend came from Zoe Florescu, who secured victory in the Female Trophy, marking the team’s first win in the category.
Following post-race investigations, Nacho Tuñón received a penalty and dropped to fifteenth, which adjusted the final classification:
- Aleix Piñera — 11th overall
- Zoe Florescu — 14th overall

- Aleix Piñera sits 3rd in the drivers’ standings, 18 points behind the leader
- Andrej Petrović is 12th
- Nacho Tuñón is 13th
