Valencia, Spain — Tecnicar by AMTOG completed an intense and highly positive opening weekend of the 2026 Spanish Winter Championship in Portimão, with strong performances in both Eurocup-4 and Eurocup-3. The Valencia-based team secured its best result of the weekend with Andrej Petrović’s victory in the E4 Sprint Race, as well as Nacho Tuñón’s first podium and first points in the category. In the first qualifying session, Andrej Petrović finished eighth and Nacho Tuñón fourteenth, while in the second qualifying Petrović set the fifth fastest time and Tuñón the sixth. Zoe Florescu and Aleix Piñera also continued progressing in their adaptation within a very large grid.

Saturday’s Race 1 brought the team’s first major result of the weekend, with Nacho Tuñón finishing third to secure his first podium and first points in the category. Andrej Petrović crossed the line in sixth place after remaining in the fight for the front positions.

Shortly afterwards came one of the highlights of the weekend. In the Sprint Race, Andrej Petrović took victory for T-Code.

In race two, Petrović added more points with a fifth-place finish, while Tuñón closed the weekend in sixth position. In particular, Aleix Piñera climbed to tenth place after starting from 31st on the grid, but a penalty left him out of the points. Florescu recovered from 26th to 14th.

Eurocup-3: the team’s debut in the Winter Championship and steady progress

Portimão also marked Tecnicar by AMTOG’s debut in Eurocup-3 in the Spanish Winter Championship, with Kacper Sztuka and Benjamin Beckley representing the team. This will be the team’s first full year in Eurocup-3, and this weekend featured strong recovery drives from Sztuka as well as Beckley’s single-seater debut.

An encouraging start in Portimão
