Tecnicar Motorsport Solutions leaves the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve with positive feelings after the three drivers of the team showed a great pace in the race to come back and get closer to the points.

In the first qualifying of the weekend, Gustaw Wisniewski set the fastest time for the team and was in the top 20.

However, he lost positions in the first race. Lorenzo Castillo stood out, moving up 9 positions. Wiktor Dobrzánski, who had gained 10 positions, finally had to retire and could not complete his comeback.

The second qualifying, already on Sunday, showed again the potential of Gustaw Wisniewski in one lap, close to the top 20 again.

This time, without as many setbacks as on Saturday, our three drivers managed to make progress. Wiktor Dobrzánski moved up 8 positions, as did Lorenzo Castillo. For his part, Gustaw Wisniewski gained nine places to finish in a creditable 14th position, getting closer to the points. He was also seventh in the rookies’ classification.

Finally, in the third race of the weekend, Wiktor Dobrzánski reached the top 25 while Gustaw Wisniewski and Lorenzo Castillo finished in the top 20.

The next stop of the championship will be at the Paul Ricard circuit in France from 5 to 7 July.

Lorenzo Castillo: ‘We have a good pace and made some good overtaking moves. We had to come back because we were eliminated from the first qualifying lap. It was a fun race with a lot of overtaking. It was a solid weekend in terms of pace but we will have to improve qualifying for Paul Ricard.”

Gustaw Wisniewski: ‘The good result in race two made me seventh in the rookie class. Then I had some problems at the start of race three but then I was able to gain a lot of positions.”

Wiktor Dobrzánski: ‘I lost two positions in turn five due to an accident in front of me. Race three was good in terms of on-track fights and battles with other drivers.”
