Tecnicar has started the 2024 season in Jerez de la Frontera, getting a lot of information, learning lessons and accumulating the first kilometres of the year.

The 2024 Formula Winter Series season kicked off at the Jerez de la Frontera circuit with changeable weather and many challenges ahead for Tecnicar.
The team arrived with motivation and charged pillars. Lorenzo Castillo and Wiktor Dobrzański, who was making his debut in single-seaters, formed the team’s line-up for this season.

The first day was marked by heavy rain, which did not stop the drivers from lapping and accumulating the first kilometres on track to prepare for qualifying. In an extensive grid, Lorenzo Castillo and Wiktor Dobrzański came close to the top 30.

The Polish rider, who made up six positions, demonstrated his pace on track, similar to that of his rivals in both dry and wet conditions in his debut weekend, and continued his good adaptation to the car.

The final day at Jerez produced better results, reflecting the team’s progression. Lorenzo Castillo’s qualifying position was conditioned by mechanical problems that were still being sorted out and carried over from the previous day. Nevertheless, he managed to finish in 28th place after a solid race.

Race 3 allowed Wiktor Dobrzański and Lorenzo Castillo to gain experience, to run with good pace and to accumulate data to improve and to face the second round of the Formula Winter Series taking steps forward and progressing.

After an intense weekend, it’s time to analyse all the data, learn lessons and prepare for Tecnicar’s home race, where we hope to continue making progress and obtaining better results.
