Tecnicar Motorsport Solutions has secured their first points of the season at the Motorland-Aragón circuit. Adam Al-Azhari, after an incredible comeback, finished ninth in the first race of the weekend.
In the first qualifying session of the weekend, Adam Al-Azhari was the fastest in the team, reaching the top 20. From that position, he made a stellar start to move up to 14th place in less than a lap before the safety car came out. When the race resumed, he continued to gain positions, crossing the finish line in eleventh place. Subsequently, the stewards’ decisions promoted Adam Al-Azhari to ninth place, earning the team’s first points of the season. On the other hand, Wiktor Dobrzanski finished 29th, and Lorenzo Castillo was unable to finish.
The second race saw all our drivers cross the finish line, with Adam Al-Azhari achieving the best result in the top 20. The second qualifying session of the weekend placed two of our drivers in the top 25. Lorenzo Castillo recorded the 29th best time, and Wiktor Dobrzanski was 24th. Adam Al-Azhari, in great form, reached a notable 18th place.
Again, a great start from Adam Al-Azhari put him in 12th position within minutes. However, on-track battles relegated him back, and he ended up crossing the finish line in 20th place. Meanwhile, Lorenzo Castillo finished 23rd, and Wiktor Dobrzanski in 29th place.
With these results, Tecnicar scores its first points of the season, demonstrating a strong pace on the track, with skilled drivers capable of advancing positions and achieving good results.
Adam Al-Azhari: “Saturday went very well, I scored my first points. I gained three positions at the start and kept pushing. I did everything I could, I was fast.”
Lorenzo Castillo: “It hasn’t been the weekend I expected, but the race pace was very good. We had a good rhythm in the practice sessions. In the second race, I had to avoid an accident in front of me, and in the end, I had a great pace.”
Wiktor Dobrzanski: “The weekend was quite good, we had a good pace. Qualifying didn’t go very well; the conditions were difficult, and we didn’t adapt well. Sunday’s qualifying was the best, I did my best lap. In Sunday’s races, we showed very good pace and potential.”
