Tecnicar Motorsport Solutions is proud to announce the addition of Lorenzo Castillo and Dewey Richards to its Formula 4 Spanish team for the upcoming Jerez round.
Castillo will join the team as a “wild card” and will substitute for Hiyu Yamakoshi only for this round, as the Japanese driver has a commitment in the French championship. Richards will join the team to make his European debut, marking the first time Tecnicar Motorsport Solutions will have four cars on the track.
“We are very excited to welcome Lorenzo and Dewey to the team,” stated Team Principal, Javier Lapeña. “We have confidence that they will be great additions to the team as they start their preparation with the goal of completing a full 2024 season in F-4 Spain.“
Lorenzo Castillo is a young Mexican driver who has been part of the team throughout the season as a test driver. In Jerez, he will have his first opportunity to compete in single-seaters. “I am very excited to join Tecnicar for the Jerez round,” said Castillo. “I trust that I will gain valuable experience in my first single-seater race and prepare well for 2024.“
Dewey Richards is a Mexican driver who has competed in the Fórmula 4 NACAM championship for the past two seasons. He became the youngest driver to debut in that championship at just 14 years old. “I am thrilled to join Tecnicar for the Jerez round,” said Richards. “I am very happy and excited about my debut.“
Tecnicar Motorsport Solutions is confident that the addition of Lorenzo Castillo and Dewey Richards will assist the drivers in achieving their goals for the upcoming Jerez round. The team is looking forward to the challenge and is eager to see what the two drivers can bring to the table.
