Tecnicar Motorsport Solutions consolidates its position in the middle of the table of the Spanish Formula 4 after scoring points one more weekend. All our drivers also showed their talent on track, moving up positions and achieving a good overall result.
The appointment in Valencia was presented with the return of Lorenzo Castillo to the garage, joining Hiyu Yamakoshi, Eric Gené and Griffin Peebles.
After the two free practice sessions in which our drivers went from less to more, it was time for the first qualifying, where Griffin Peebles was the best placed Tecnicar driver by setting the 15th time.
From that position, Griffin Peebles approached the points zone maintaining the pace shown in practice. But, in his struggle he was hit from behind and lost positions.
Hiyu Yamakoshi again came close to the points zone in the second race and finally managed to finish ninth in the last race of the weekend. For his part, Lorenzo Castillo was able to complete race 3 after two unlucky races up to that point.
Overall, the event in Valencia was marked by numerous battles on track. In addition, our mechanics did a great job to solve some setbacks, allowing the drivers to display their potential on track and finish the weekend with a good feeling and some more points for the team.
Eric Gené: “Home race. We had a good pace. I’m happy, although it was a pity about the track limits”.
Lorenzo Castillo: “Complicated weekend, but we keep the positive. We fought on track with many riders.”
Griffin Peebles: “We had a good pace in practice and kept it in the race, but some incidents kept us away from the points.”
Hiyu Yamakoshi: “I had a mechanical problem in the first qualifying. We fixed it and I had a good result. We had good pace and it was a positive weekend.”
