The last round of the 2024 F4 Spain season started with an emotional tribute at the finish line to those affected by the DANA. With them in their memory, our drivers Adam Al Azhari, Wiktor Dobrzanski and Teodor Borenstein faced the appointment at the Montmeló circuit.
Saturday’s first qualifying session put the team to the test, with Adam Al Azhari in the top 25. In his comeback attempt, Adam was relegated to 29th position. Wiktor Dobrzanski was the team’s best qualifier on this occasion, reaching 23rd position. Teodor Borenstein, continuing his adaptation to the category, managed to keep up with his rivals and finished 28th.
Again, in an adverse qualifying 2, Adam Al Azhari set the best time among Tecnicar drivers, being 26th. On Sunday, moreover, he was able to complete the comeback, finishing 19th. Teodor Borenstein crossed the finish line in 27th position.
The last race of the year produced similar results. Adam Al Azhari again gained positions to finish 19th. Teodor Borenstein finished his first full weekend with the team in a solid and consistent manner, crossing the finish line in 26th position.
For his part, Wiktor Dobrzanski was able to return to the track in the third race, after the mechanics did a great job to remedy the morning’s problems. He was able to finish the season with a creditable 24th place.
Teodor Borenstein: “Thank you. This team has made me learn a lot. In the third race the start was not good but then I had a good rhythm, I improved a lot, with incredible lines, incredible fights, great defense… everything. It was difficult with the tires, in the end we were all trying to stay on the track.”
Wiktor Dobrzanski: “Our forecasts for qualifying were strong but unfortunately I noticed smoke on the rear of my car on the first flying lap, so I had to go into the garage. The team did an amazing job changing the engine in one hour. Still the race was good. I had a good start and the pace was there and I was able to overtake some drivers.”
Adam Al Azhari: “On Sunday we tried to improve on Saturday’s results. We made some set-up changes and the car felt better. However we didn’t manage to do the perfect lap. In race 2 I had a very good pace, I kept fighting and made some good overtakes.
